Tokyo Inokashira Park welcomes autumn.
東京三鷹市と武蔵野市にまたがる井の頭公園。季節毎の風情を醸し出し訪れる人を癒してくれます。これからは木々も色づき、渡り鳥もたくさん飛来しバードウオッチングの名所でもあります。紅葉の見ごろは11月中旬以降でしょうか。
Inokashira Park straddles the cities of Mitaka and Musashino in Tokyo. The park has a seasonal atmosphere that soothes visitors. From now on, the trees change colour and many migratory birds fly into the park, making it a popular spot for birdwatching. The best time to see the autumn leaves is from mid-November onwards.
公園には大きな池があり、たくさんの鳥たちが羽を休めています。昔は巨大な鯉たちが大きな口を開けて餌をねだっていましたが、最近は見かけなくなりました。公園の中には動物園があり、池の中には鳥や水に生きる生物を飼育している分園もありますから、小さなお子様も楽しむことができます。
The park has a large pond where many birds rest their wings. In the past, huge carp used to open their big mouths and beg for food, but these days they are no longer seen. There is a zoo in the park and a branch garden in the pond where birds and other water creatures are kept, so young children can have fun too.
森の中を歩くと黄色や赤くそまった木々の景色を楽しむことができます。真っ赤に染まった木の間から木漏れ日が射してくる光景はとっても奇麗です。
Walking through the forest, you can enjoy the view of yellow and reddish trees. It is a beautiful sight to see the sun shining through the trees, which have turned bright red.
井の頭公園にはジブリ美術館もあり、屋上からは巨神兵が見下ろしている姿を見ることができます。平日含めて老若男女、日本人、外国人とたくさんの来場者でにぎわっています。
In Inokashira Park is also home to the Ghibli Museum, where the Giant God Warrior can be seen looking down from the roof. The park is crowded with visitors of all ages, Japanese and foreigners, including on weekdays.
月の軌道とタイミングが合えば、夜には水面に映るきれいな風景が作り出されます。そんな夜は多くの人が橋の上からスマホで撮影をしています。
If the timing is right with the moon’s orbit, it creates a beautiful reflection on the water at night. On such nights, many people take photos from the bridge with their smartphones.
春夏秋冬、日夜問わず、そして老若男女、国籍問わずどんな人も癒される井の頭公園です。
Spring, summer, autumn and winter, day and night, Inokashira Park is a soothing place for people of all ages, sexes and nationalities.
